Naming

Calceolaria biflora was described by Jean-Baptiste Pierre Antoine de Monet de Lamarck in 1785. The name is considered as validly published.

Taxonomy

Calceolaria biflora is a species in the genus Calceolaria which contains approximately 308 to 363 species and belongs to the family of the Scrophulariaceae (Figwort Family). The type species of the genus is Calceolaria pinnata.

Growth

The perennials have a mat-forming habit and reach heights of 15 to 25 centimetres.
