Rosa pseudoscabriuscula was already described and the name validly published by Robert Keller. It was not until 1993, however, that Heinz Siegfried Henker and Gerhard Karl Friedrich Schulze reclassified it into todays valid botanical systematics.

Rosa pseudoscabriuscula is a species in the genus Rosa (rose) which contains 149 species and belongs to the family of the Rosaceae (Rose Family).

The shrubs grow to a height of approximately 2 meters.

Rosa pseudoscabriuscula is a decidious plant with imparipinnate leaves. The leaves are arranged opposite one another. They are mid green and oblanceolate with serrulate margins.
