Rosa jundzillii was described in 1916 by Wilibald Swibert Joseph Gottlieb von Besser. The name is considered as validly published.

Rosa jundzillii is a species in the genus Rosa (rose) which contains 149 species and belongs to the family of the Rosaceae (Rose Family).

The shrubs grow to a height of approximately 2 meters.

Rosa jundzillii is a decidious plant with imparipinnate leaves. The leaves are arranged opposite one another. They are ovate with doubly serraty margins.

The flowers are five-petaled and pink. The plants bloom in June. The flowers are arranged in corymbs.

The fruits are hips.

Rosa jundzillii is native to France, the Apennine Peninsula, Central Europe, eastern Central Europe, the Balkan Peninsula, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.

Rosa jundzillii prefers a sunny to half shady site and can withstand temperatures down to -28,2º C. It grows best in sandy or pebbly, loamy soil that is dry to moderately moist.
