Draba mollissima is a species in the genus Draba (whitlow grass) which contains 300 species and belongs to the family of the Brassicaceae (Mustard Family).

The perennials grow to a height of approximately 0,08 meters and develop into mounds or cushions.

Draba mollissima is an evergreen plant with simple leaves. The leaves are arranged in rosettes. They are greyish green and linear with entire margins.
