Draba lemmonii var. cyclomorpha was already described and the name validly published by Edwin Blake Payson. It was not until 1927, however, that Otto Eugen Schulz reclassified it into todays valid botanical systematics.

Draba lemmonii var. cyclomorpha is a variety in the genus Draba (whitlow grass) which contains 300 species and belongs to the family of the Brassicaceae (Mustard Family).

The perennials grow to a height of approximately 0,05 meters and develop into clumps.

Draba lemmonii var. cyclomorpha is an evergreen plant with simple leaves. The leaves are arranged in rosettes. They are oblanceolate with entire margins.
