Callianthemum coriandrifolium was described by Heinrich Gottlieb Ludwig Reichenbach. The name is considered as validly published.

Callianthemum coriandrifolium is a species in the genus Callianthemum which contains 14 species and belongs to the family of the Ranunculaceae (Buttercup Family).

The perennials grow to a height of approximately 0,2 meters.

Callianthemum coriandrifolium has imparipinnate leaves. The leaves are arranged opposite one another. They are bluish green and linear with entire margins.

The flowers are many-petaled. The plants bloom from June to July. The flowers are arranged solitary.

The fruits are nutlets.

Callianthemum coriandrifolium is native to mountain regions of the Iberian Peninsula, France, the Apennine Peninsula, Central and eastern Central Europe, Bosnien-Herzegowina and Romania.

Callianthemum coriandrifolium prefers a sunny site and can withstand temperatures down to -23,3º C. It grows best in pebbly, loamy soil that is moist.
