The Cat's Foot is a variety in the genus Antennaria (pussytoes) which contains 70 species and belongs to the family of the Asteraceae (Aster Family).

The perennials grow to a height of approximately 0,05 meters and develop as mats.

The Cat's Foot prefers a sunny site and can withstand temperatures down to -28,2º C. It grows best in pebbly, loamy soil, sandy clay soil that is moderately moist.
