Gasteria disticha was described in 1827 by Adrian Hardy Haworth. The name is considered as validly published.

Gasteria disticha is a species in the genus Gasteria which contains 17 species and belongs to the family of the Aloaceae (Aloe Family).

The perennials grow to a height of approximately 0,3 meters.

Gasteria disticha is an evergreen plant with simple leaves. The leaves are arranged opposite one another. They are linear with entire margins.
