Agathosma crenulata (= Barosma crenulata), commonly known as Buchu, is a shrub.

Agathosma crenulata was already described and the name validly published by Carl Linnaeus. It was not until 1950, however, that Fedor Semenovich Pilipenko reclassified it into todays valid botanical systematics.

The Buchu is a species in the genus Agathosma which contains 135 species and belongs to the family of the Rutaceae (Rue Family).

The shrubs grow to a height of approximately 2,5 meters.
